About
Timco Toppen is a Partner within the EMEA Debt & Structured Finance team at Cushman & Wakefield. Based in Amsterdam, he advises real estate investors, asset managers, institutional funds, family offices, and property companies on complex debt financing, refinancing, and capital structure matters across European real estate markets.
Working across the full capital stack, Timco advises clients on transactions involving senior debt, whole loan financing, mezzanine finance, and other structured funding solutions. He supports clients with financing for acquisitions, refinancings, developments, and portfolio transactions, helping them secure debt structures that align with their investment objectives and risk profile.
Timco combines extensive transaction experience with strong expertise in data analytics, financial modelling, and technology-driven decision-making. By applying rigorous underwriting standards, market analysis, and lender intelligence, he helps clients navigate complex financing markets, assess opportunities, and optimise funding strategies across multiple asset classes, including Office, Retail, Industrial & Logistics, Living, and Data Centres.
His data-driven approach spans the entire financing process, from initial deal screening and underwriting to lender selection, negotiation, and transaction execution. Clients value his ability to translate complex market dynamics and financing structures into clear, actionable advice that supports informed investment decisions and successful outcomes.
In addition to advising clients, Timco plays a senior leadership role within the European team, mentoring junior colleagues and helping shape the analytical frameworks and underwriting standards applied across transactions. His combination of commercial insight, financial expertise, and technical capabilities enables clients to secure financing solutions that support long-term value creation.My Team
Timco is part of Cushman & Wakefield's EMEA Debt & Structured Finance platform, a team of more than twelve professionals operating across Europe. Within this platform, he leads a team of six professionals based in different European markets.
By combining local market expertise with a coordinated pan-European approach, the team helps clients access capital across multiple jurisdictions and navigate increasingly complex financing markets. This international platform provides clients with access to a broad network of lenders, investors, and financing partners, supported by consistent execution and market intelligence across Europe.
