Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) advised the acquisition of an industrial and logistics asset located in Azambuja by the Alternatives & Logistics Fund, a fund managed by Insula Capital with Colares Capital acting as advisor. The consultancy was appointed by Freshlog to oversee the sale of the asset and also provided advisory services to the buyer throughout the transaction process.

Located in the Azambuja industrial area, the asset comprises a logistics warehouse with a total area of 2,815 sq m, including 2,565 sq m of storage space and 250 sq m of office and support areas. The property also features five loading and unloading docks, ensuring high levels of operational efficiency. Following the completion of the transaction, the asset is now available for lease.

For Cushman & Wakefield, this transaction further reinforces its extensive experience in delivering strategic logistics-sector deals, highlighting its ability to support both investors and occupiers throughout the entire real estate lifecycle.

“We are very pleased to have supported Freshlog in identifying a buyer and the Alternatives & Logistics Fund in executing its acquisition strategy, contributing to a solution that met the objectives of both parties,” said Sandra Ferreira, Senior Consultant in Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial & Logistics department.

“This acquisition is aligned with the Alternatives & Logistics Fund’s strategy of investing in well-located logistics assets with strong value-creation potential. Azambuja continues to establish itself as one of Portugal’s leading logistics hubs, benefiting from excellent accessibility and structurally high demand. We believe this asset offers highly attractive characteristics for future occupiers and reinforces our commitment to building a high-quality portfolio in Portugal,” said Florence Ricou, Partner and CEO of Insula Capital.

“We believe the Portuguese logistics market continues to offer highly attractive opportunities for investors with a long-term perspective. This investment reflects our strategy of selecting well-located assets with value-add potential through active management and by meeting occupiers’ needs. We remain focused on building a differentiated portfolio that combines quality, investment discipline, and sustainable value creation,” said Albano Costa Lobo, Co-Founder of Colares Capital.
